Sunday, November 30th was Kyle's 28th birthday. We spent the day with his family. I bought him a new golf bag and a organizer thingy to go in the garage! He had a great time eating his favorite fried chicken that his mom makes and opening presents.
Thanksgiving was great, we spent this thanksgiving with Kyle's parents. On Friday Kyle, his dad and I all went hunting. Kyle and I went to Bass Pro Shop a couple of weekends ago to get me some warm clothes so that I would not freeze to death when I go hunting with them. We saw so many bucks and Kyle almost shot one but refrained for the thought of a better buck in his near future! Oh, but he did kill a bobcat. It was kinda weird seeing a bobcat up close and personal! The hotel we stayed at was a far cry from the Hilton but it was a good place to sleep and get clean. I love going hunting with Kyle. There is so much to see and it is so peaceful out there. Probably some of my most favorite times!
We got back to Dallas on Sunday and Kyle did not want to get the Christmas tree down on his birthday so we waited until Monday. So, last night I decorated the Christmas tree and started to put out all of my decorations. I don't know why but for some reason I don't like any of my decorations this year. I want to change everything up. Last night Kyle was sort of BAH HUMBUG about getting all the Christmas stuff down and said that we don't have a lot of Jesus stuff to decorate our house with. I looked around and sure enough he was right. I have about a million snowmen and one thing for Jesus. It is the manger scene that Kyle's mom bought us for our first Christmas together. I was kind of taken back a bit...what is the true meaning of Christmas...snowmen...no...Jesus...YES! So I am going to go out and buy some Jesus Christmas stuff to decorate with. Probably not the solution that Kyle was looking for...spending more money!!!
REMEMBER THE REASON FOR THE SEASON! Enjoy all of your shopping!
