Thanks to Joy at Three Calhouns for nominating me for this award. Joy is my sister-in-law. She is Kyle's younger sister. Joy is probably one of the most creative people that I know. She is an interior designer and she is extremely good at what she does. She helped Kyle and I pick our colors in our house and designed our kitchen when we were remodeling. She has a precious little girl named Ella. Ella is adorable and is always the life of the party like her momma! I am truly blessed to have her as my sister-in-law!

Here are the seven things about me that people do not know:

1) My freshmen year in College at the Stephen F. Austin State University I was nominated by my sorority for homecoming as the Freshmen Duchess of Chi Omega. I thought I was so cool. There were flyer's all around campus with a picture of my face on them so that people could vote for the overall Freshmen Duchess of the university. I did not win! But I thought it was so fun at the time.

2) Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007. She has two types Ductal Carcinoma in Situ and Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. She had a double mastectomy and endured 6 months of chemotherapy. She was lucky and they found it in its early stages. She has been cancer free for 2 years now.

3) My goal since I was young was to become a Nurse Practitioner. Since I can remember I always wanted to be a nurse. This past August I graduated with my Masters in Nursing and will sit for the boards in November!

4)Until I met Kyle I NEVER wanted to have any children. I always thought that I would be a career person and was probably to scared/selfish to want any kiddos. I also NEVER thought I would enjoy being a stay at home mom. Then Kyle came a long and God changed my heart to want children. I think as soon as Kyle and I were married I secretly wanted to accidentally get pregnant every month. But it happened at the most perfect time due to Gods most perfect plan. Now, we have a sweet little boy named Hunter and I still want more! I also enjoy every moment that I have with Hunter while I am home and could definitely be a full-time stay at home mommy. I love that I don't miss anything and I get to be with him all the time! It is amazing how God can change the most stubborn/selfish hearts for His glory!

5) I am a Deaconess =) Actually Kyle is a Deacon at our church and I kid with him that I am a Deaconess! It is just a little joke!

6) I dance all the time when people are not around. If you were a fly on the wall at my house when I am home alone. You would find me dancing all around the house. I dance in the kitchen, bathroom, while I am folding clothes. All the time! I love to dance. I am so not good at it and will laugh at myself when I know I look like a dork but I LOVE to dance. I was on the drill team when I was in high school. I think that sparked my love for dance. I don't do like nasty dancing mostly lyrical or contemporary! Laugh all you want!

7) I struggle so much with reading the bible everyday. For some reason I cannot sit down and read the most amazing book in the world. I start bible studies and do not finish them. I know I should be better at this but I am not. Something that I need prayers about. I love to learn about the bible, I love to listen to sermons, love to talk to Kyle about our God. I just cannot sit down and read! It is so frustrating! My mother-in-law for Christmas a couple of years ago gave me a one year bible. I still have not finished it. I envy the people that have read the bible from cover to cover several times. I just cannot do it!
