So here lately Hunter has not been staying latched on. And about 5 minutes into the feed he gets really fussy and starts to pull at my nipple. I detach him thinking that he needs to burp, change his diaper etc... Sometimes this works and sometimes it does not work. Before he was doing it every now and then but here recently it is with every feeding. It is wearing on me.
I read books and the Internet about what could possible be wrong. Some say that I have to strong of a let down. But, He seems to stop after I do let down. Some websites say that Hunter is impatient in waiting for my let down. I can jump on that band wagon. But with every feeding...that is getting old.
So, my question is has anyone out there experienced this? If so what did you do? Today was especially trying. He would not nurse at all. Just cried and cried...heartbreaking! I mostly pumped all day and gave him the bottle. Giving him the bottle is not as great as breast feeding him.
Is it a phase? When will the phase be over??

I would call Vickie Gettle at Allen Presby. She is awesome! She is very experienced and was great with both of mine.
Quit giving him the pacifier and see if that helps.
Oh, my heart hurts for you even more than him because it is so frustrating when there's a problem and you're willing to do whatever it takes to fix it, you just don't know what to do. I hate that. I'm sorry!! :(
