Show Us Your Chirstmas Tree

Here is my Christmas Tree:

I love my Christmas Tree. It has random ornaments that Kyle and I have collected through our years together. I don't like having a tree that all the ornaments match. Don't get me wrong I think they are beautiful. But I love taking an ornament out of the box and remembering where we were when we got a certain ornament. It is so nice taking a trip down memory lane.

For instance:

The clear ornament was given to us for our first Christmas together. We got married in 2003 and it has the date on it and everything. I love it . It always goes in the center of our tree.

This ornament we got in Maui. It was the best vacation we have ever been on. It was our last vacation as a couple with out kids. It took me forever to find a ornament that I loved in Maui. Kyle found this one and I love it. A Hawaiian Santa snorkeling. Also it was Kyle's first time to snorkel and he loved it. We saw sea turtles and tons of beautiful fish!

This ornament we got in San Diego on a mission trip with the youth group that we were working with. It was an huge eye opening experience. We hung out with homeless people, ate disgusting food, learned what it meant to serve Jesus when we were uncomfortable. It was awesome!

Summer 08 we went to Colorado with Kyle's family. We got this ornament in Durango. We stayed in a cabin with beautiful views. Kyle and I went fishing almost every day. We went down the alpine slide. It was such a fun vacation. I love Kyle's family and love every day that I get to spend with them!

I love snowmen. I collect them and have several snowmen on my tree.

So that is what my tree looks like! What does yours look like?

love your tree!!!

ours has meaningful ornaments too. ones we got on vacations. a yellow lab to remember our sweet Loper that we had to put down. and then i took apart the kids' mobiles and turned them into ornaments as well.

this year our tree is crammed with stuff towards the bottom. sarah and jack wanted to help and they don't really understand the concept of "spread them out". :) but i've waited years to have kids old enough to help me decorate the tree so i didn't rearrange them.

Your tree is beautiful. We add special ornaments each year too...one for each daughter...and one for our family trips. Christmas blessings to you!
