What a week

Poor Hunter was so sick last week. He is doing so much better this week. We were so close to being admitted into the hospital. I think if I was not a nurse they would have admitted us. But I know what to look for and he was doing fine with his breathing treatment.
It was so hard seeing him that sick. He had a fever to start out the week. He was put on antibiotics which gave him a horrible diaper rash and diarrhea. So we could not use wipes, I just put him in our sink and washed off his booty in the water. It was so exhausting for the whole family. I got on a first name basis with our Dr and his staff. I am sure I am the crazy mother that keeps calling. They called on Monday this week and said that he indeed did have RSV. I am praying this nasty virus does not rear his nasty head in our house again! I don't know where he gets these viruses. Hello..he stays at home, the only time he is around other children is at church. I know they wash off their toys. It is so frustrating!

Hunter was showing signs of improvement on Thursday and Friday. My dad's 50th birthday was on Saturday so we went to Houston to celebrate with them. My mom organized a luau and went all out. She even hired hula dancers and a fire dancer. It was a really fun party. Hunter did not get to participate in the festivities because his bed time is 8 pm and he is usually ready for bed by then. I was so surprised that he stayed asleep through all of the noise. Here are some pics from our week:

So happy to read that little Hunter is feeling better. He's lucky to have you as a nurse/mommy. If you are half as good a mommy as you were a nurse to Gavin -- I know he's in excellent hands!!!

Take care!

Much love,
Stacie
