Got Tubes?

HUNTER DOES!!!

YEA!!!!!!!
On Monday Hunter got tubes placed in both of his ears. We are so excited that they are in there. Hopefully he will no longer look like this:

We had to be at the hospital at 6:30 because Hunter was the first surgical case. I love they get the youngest kids in first. He had nothing to eat or drink since 7:00 that night. He was surprisingly happy! Praise God! We got there right on time and I had already filled out all of the paper work. All we had to do was sign our patient rights and HIPPA consents. They took us back to the post-operative room and we dressed Hunter in the hospital gown.

He was such a ham!

Then the Dr's all came by and told us not to worry, he will be fine. Here is Hunter's face when the nurse came by to get him:

The procedure took all of 15 minutes. Kyle and I could hear him screaming in the recovery room. That is pure torture to hear your baby cry and you cannot get to him. Horrible. Finally after about 5 minutes they brought him to us. He cried and cried and cried for about 45 minutes off and on. Kyle and I took turns trying to console him. Finally he threw up all over Kyle and he went to sleep. I guess his tummy was upset from the anesthesia.

Hunter drinking apple juice from his bottle!

I wish we would have gotten a picture of Kyle's shirt after Hunter threw up all over it. It was so hilarious. Kyle and I laughed until we cried. The nurses finally let us go home after about an hour in post-operative. Once we got home Kyle went to work and Hunt and I went to sleep! We both slept for 2 1/2 hours...yea anesthesia. I might need a little extra for home on those not so pleasant days =)

Here is Hunt after his long nap:

He is such a great baby!
