I love my new hobby of sewing. It reminds me so much of my Grandmother (Gran). I remember as a child growing up watching her drink her tea and sew. She was such an influential person in my life. This weekend I was working on Hunter's Happy Birthday banner and I had a sudden urge to get some tea. We did not have any and I did not want to make some. So I settled for water. But it made me think of her. There is something about sewing that makes me feel close to her. I don't know if that makes any sense but it does to me.
Here are some pictures of my latest sewing experience. I still have a lot to learn and have to get better with my stitching but it is a work in progress. I made these for a friend from Sunday School. She is having a little boy named Fielding. I also made some for another friend in Sunday school but I did not take pictures.
This one is a little girly. But I liked the way it turned out!
My favorite!
I really don't like reading crafting blog posts. But I was proud of myself so I thought I would share.
