The Story Behind Our Christmas Card

Every year we go to the Arboretum to have our pictures taken for our Christmas Cards. This has been a tradition of ours since Hunter was born. Last year was a little more difficult because Hunter was moving around but we always get a cute picture.
Well..................... that was until this year.
We all went to the Arboretum this year with tripod in tow. Kids all decked out in their white shirts and ties. I had great visions of the perfect picture dancing in my head. We told Hunter the whole way there that he could play as soon as we got done taking pictures. (looking back that was a totally unrealistic expectation of him) We got to the hay stacks with all the pumpkins. Set up the tripod and Heath and I sat down leaving just enough room for Kyle and Hunter to slide in and this is what we got:
We continued to try, we switched kids:
Then decided to just get pictures of me with the kids and Kyle with the kids:
Notice the sucker....even bribery did not work.
Then we just gave up:
I was going to try again to get a better family picture but I did not have the energy. So, Kyle and I took pics of the boys in their white shirts and ties all decked out in Christmas lights. I got a lot of comments on how funny the card was and then some people had no idea Hunter was screaming in the upper right picture.
Maybe next year it will be even more fun. But note to self...take a photographer with you. A tripod is not going to work anymore!
