My first week back to work was not bad at all! God prepared both Hunter and I so well for the transition. The first day was filled with orientation stuff...boring! I got to know the nurse that I will be working with. I love her. She is so laid back and so helpful. I know I will love working with her. I already knew all of the Doctors and they are just as helpful and easy going and great to work with.
I am so excited that I have this job, I have already learned so much. It is weird though going into your patients room and introducing your self as a nurse practitioner. Just weird.
Hunter did great. The first day I think he took about a 1 1/2 hour nap the whole day. We was just wanting to play with Ella. I called Joy about 10 times the first day and she would always say that he was doing great. I am so relieved that he enjoys being with her and Ella. He is a very good baby and goes with the flow.
My milk supply has gone way down in the last two weeks. I guess from all of the pumping while at work. So, yesterday Joy had to give a full bottle of formula. I am working on increasing my supply. If anyone has any words of wisdom please tell me. I really want him to only have breast milk for the first year of life. So any advice is appreciated!
Looking forward to next week at work!

Can't help with the milk supply thing... I'm only able to feed her first thing in the morning and at night. The rest of the time, I don't have much either. I guess it's because she's eating so much "regular" food.
A lot of people swear by Mother's Milk Tea. And I do mean SWEAR by it. I never used it. I did go through some periods where my supply wasn't matching up with what the little guy needed and it stressed me out too. Honestly, it was usually during a more stressful period. And starting a new job after having a baby is stressful...even if it's going well. So, I would suggest trying to cuddle with Hunter as much as possible on the days you are not working. I've read several things about more snuggle time on the days off and how that gets you back in sync. Not sure why though. Will write more if I think of more stuff. And I'll be praying about it. I think that would increase your supply the most. :)
Much love,
Stacie
